Have you ever stopped to evaluate if you have achieved your dreams? I mean, each day we wake up and we give numerous pep talks to our kids about finishing school with honors, setting goals, taking responsibility and being anything they want to be… yet, what about us?
Today, I want you to know that it’s okay to have dreams too in the midst of serving as that guiding light for your children. You have to remember, that your life does not stop just because you have children and your dreams are valid. So maybe you can’t spend 40 hours a week investing in your idea, but you can definitely work them in or squeeze them in day by day until you find time to make your dream a reality.
I recently read over this hilarious instagram photo that highlighted boldly, “You don’t scare me, I’ve got kids!” (Sooo true!)
When you become a parent, you learn very quickly that you have to step up, juggle many responsibilities and roles, and sometimes you may not get it all done, but that doesn’t mean that you erase it off your “To Do List”, you keep striving, fighting, and getting one step closer to your dreams. So don’t let fear stop you. Think of fear as a breeze in the wind when you know you have done all you can to raise your children the best you can.
In the end, I challenge you- NEVER give up on your goals. It will make you feel accomplished, your kids will watch in awe and pick up some of those hardworking traits of resiliency, and you can look back with satisfaction that you have completed a part of your purpose on earth.
